Core Values

About

An evolution of empowerment, healing mind, body, and spirit, changing the way we think about our future.

Justice – Advocating for fairness and equity in all communities.

Accountability – Upholding transparency and trust in every action.

Dignity – Honoring the worth and voice of every individual.

Advocacy – Championing the needs of families and communities.

JADA House International was founded in 2014 by Hazelwood native Terri Shields and named for the initials of her eldest grandchildren. While the focus is currently on the Hazelwood and Greater Pittsburgh communities, the International in the name is aspirational. We hope communities worldwide can see us as a model and eventually adopt our kindness, generosity, and love. There are better opportunities for impact when solutions are collaborative and across all sectors.

JADA House International is an institution that provides resources, support, and family navigation through our core programs.

We aim to encourage and empower individuals to believe, receive, and achieve the full quality of life they deserve.

We provide a safe space for healing and personal growth beyond one's expectations through human service navigation, peer-to-peer support, and group interactions. Learn more about the impact we’ve made in our first 10 years!
